Terri Meets Texture

I've been totally texture happy the last couple of days. It started with a nagging boredom of paintshop which rapidly progressed to being able to process a pic without putting forth any effort or thought. So I decided to mix it up a bit.

Yesterday I set out on a little adventure to a historical area in town. My goal was to find different objects around town and capture them in different ways. I played with aperature. I worked different angles. I laid in and played in puddles. I had a fantastical time.

Here are just a couple of the images. The rest will be posted on my photography blog.

NIIICE!!! I can't decide which one I like better.

Do you use PSP for processing??

I do. It's the only program I know how to work. I have CS3 but am entirely too intimated by it. I haven't even touched it beyond install lol

Jenilee from Snap Happy whiped that snazzy little header up for me, isn't it awesome! I am not spiffy enough to do something like that lol.

LOVE the texture. I have a photo that needs some jazz, where did you find the textures at? I had a few but lost them when I "rearranged" my files.

Becky-

I got them from Mike Smith from Ash Imagery. You NEED to check out his work. It is A MAZ ING.

Very cool!! Sounds like a fantastic day. Did you go alone? It sounds like a dream. Love your use of textures here.

You really need to learn CS3. I started out with elements and said for years I don't need cs3, way more than I need. But, I broke down and bought it, mostly b/c I wanted to be able to make storyboards. It is a little intimadating but I know you'll figure it out. There are so many actions, templates, etc. It's really worth it to take the plunge. Trust me. I felt exactly the way you did. There's a kelby that will walk you thru everything. Go for it!

these are great! I can't wait till it is warm enough to go outside again!
Just play with CS3, you can't break it...LOL. I just learned by clicking this and that and seeing what happened!

Doreen-

Yep I totally went by myself. It was nothing short of magical. When I went to the field with the fire hydrant, I literally laid down next to it and shut my eyes and felt the breeze hit my face for about 10 minutes. SO therapeutic.

Thanks for the pep talk, I really do need to take the plunge!

Whoohoo for PSP! You don't find many PSP users out there, that's for sure! ;-)
Which version do you have? I'm using X2... and will probably upgrade as soon as the new version comes out LOL
